Why do simple mechanics mean it won't hold your interest as long? This attitude is kind of elitist honestly. I don't like paying a lot for games that wont hold my interest for more than an hour, again, some people might think different. What, in a day? Gross? That's very high income, like, extremely high if the bottom is 200.

The average income around my area is 200-500 euros Remove all the iconic characters from the game and people will scoff at it if you try to sell it to them for more than $15. Yeah, and the only reason they sell is because they are made by Nintendo and their fans will buy anything as long as it's tied to one of their IPs.

I just do not understand how on Earth the original SMB has anything to do with pricing of today's titles.Īlso the newer SMBs can be very similar to the old ones in terms of gameplay and those are at full price and still involves mostly jumping and running as their gameplay. It'll be enough to buy a decent diner for two.

The average income around my area is 200-500 euros (500 being a really good paying job), so while 15 euros isn't that much, it's not just something I'd throw away. That's kinda subjective depending on where you live. Would you buy a 2D vector based platformer that only uses one button for $90?Īll reviews are personal things. I don't think that devalues them in the slightest. If $15 seems too much then don't buy it, I just do not understand how on Earth the original SMB has anything to do with pricing of today's titles.Īlso the newer SMBs can be very similar to the old ones in terms of gameplay and those are at full price and still involves mostly jumping and running as their gameplay. You should pay what you think the game is worth. In comparison similar DF-lites are often cheaper and may even be more complex or offer more features, at least on the surface, but just don't end up being as enjoyable for a host of reasons. I know I paid $30 for Rimworld awhile back and thought that was kinda pricey for an indie game with not too much content but I genuinely enjoyed it and thought it had a bright future. It's an inherently personal thing, and trying to judge it for others is kinda silly especially when $15 is rather cheap at that. Personally I think that's as poor a way as trying to find dollar to hour value from games.
